The area of Zeleni vir was declared a nature reserve in 1962. It is mentioned for the first time in 1884. as a resort for the braver hikers. One of the most beautiful Croatian canyons, 800-metre-long and barely 2 meter wide canyon, between a hundred meters high cliffs is called The Devil’s Passage. Hiking tour reach us by the 70 metres high waterfall of Zeleni vir, which rises above the cave where is hidden source of river Zeleni vir, after which the entire area is named.
